Occupational Therapy provides consultation services to the parents of children with extra support needs who attend Macaulay’s Community Programs. The team also consults with and trains our frontline staff. Occupational Therapy helps children with extra support needs by addressing concerns and challenges with their development and facilitating timely referrals to other services.
Helping your child thrive
- Review parents’ concerns and challenges.
- Observe the child and gather information from parents and program staff.
- Provide strategies to modify/adapt the environment.
- Provide activities to promote skill development.
